The New Chalk Menu Boards
We achieved a few goals with the new chalk menu boards:
- the menus were given a new design
- harmonized the new chalk art with the interior design style
- enhanced ability to read menus from a distance
- splaced menu items into easy-to-understand categories.
The new chalk menu art became a natural extension of the interior decor. The menu items were written with washable markers on the whiteboards. Employees can wipe off outdated information and replace it with new information if necessary.
If the company requires completely new chalk menu boards, the production procedure will take less time and cost less money. All artwork is, of course, stored in digital format so that it can be reproduced again.

Artwork Design & Preparation
We make certain that every aspect of a design—typography, colors, photos, shapes, patterns, and so on—looks great. As a result, we outline the chalk art in full size in-house. As an additional art instrument, we use the wall drawing robot Botsy in this case.
Quick Production of the Chalk Menu Boards
The final product is a combination of hand-drawn artwork and outlines made by the wall drawing robot Botsy.
Before & After
The menu items on the old blackboards were difficult to read.
The menu boards were disorganized and out of date.
The company’s name was missing.
We collaborated with the owner and staff to design the menu items based on their business experience and requirements. It was a true team effort to create the new menu layout and add the missing information. To visually extend the small room, the blackboards were replaced with white ones. We put overhead signs to get some of the offerings off the congested walls. One of the most thrilling moments is when the team summarizes the company’s motto: “We make the community healthier and happier by serving healthy smoothies with a smile.”
