Community Entrance Signs

How to Transfer Image by Mural Robot for Entrance Signs

Board members of a local community were looking for a contractor to refresh their entrance signs. The original community entrance signs were hand-painted over a brick wall. Over time, the paint and colors faded, and the signs needed a rework. That’s why the community needed two identical signs. I explained how to transfer images using the drawing robot for quick and accurate results. Also, the members wanted to keep the original style of artwork.

I offered to use the fiber cement Hardie siding for the base of the signs. There were three key advantages to doing so: there was no need for the brick wall leveling; all artwork could be done in-house; and the installation could be quick under the Florida heat. In other words, there were time and money savings.

After the sketch was approved, the entrance signs were sized up by the drawing robot, and then they were hand painted. Thanks to Botsy, the letters and the center graphic element were accurate and identical on both boards.

In this case, the background color and the letter paint were chosen for good visibility for drivers during daytime and nighttime. The small art elements give a good impression for pedestrians.
